On the afternoon of June 28, 2021, the 11th Committee of the Anesthesiology Branch of Jiangxi Medical Association and the General Election Conference were held in Nanchang. Professor Chen Shibiao from the Anesthesiology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University was successfully elected as the Chairman of the 11th Committee of the Anesthesiology Branch of Jiangxi Medical Association.

The conference was presided over by Zhao Juhong, Deputy Secretary General of Jiangxi Medical Association, and Wei Zuojun, Vice President and Secretary General of Jiangxi Medical Association, attended and delivered a speech. Former Chairman Xu Guohai, Director of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, attended the meeting and summarized the work of the Anesthesiology Branch of the 10th Jiangxi Medical Association over the past four years. The meeting fully recognized the work achievements of the 10th Committee, with Professor Xu Guohai as the Chairman of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. Subsequently, a general election was held, and one chairman, one alternate chairman, eight vice chairman, 24 executive members, and 70 members of the 11th Committee of the Anesthesiology Branch of Jiangxi Medical Association were successfully elected. Professor Ding Guoyou, Professor Mao Zhenbei, and Professor Ye Junming were appointed as advisors to the 11th Committee. Director Chen Shibiao of the Anesthesiology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University was elected as the Chairman. Director Yu Shuchun of the Anesthesiology Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University was elected as the Chairman designate. Director Zhu Xiaoping of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, Director Yang Xiaomin of Jiangxi Cancer Hospital, and Director Zhang Mingsheng of Jiangxi People's Hospital were also appointed as the Chairman designate Director Luo Heguo of the First Hospital of Nanchang City, Director Zhou Qun of Jiangxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Director Zhong Maolin of the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical College, Director Hu Huakun of Jiangxi Children's Hospital, and Director Hu Yanhui of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University (ranked by surname stroke) were elected as the vice chairman.

Professor Chen Shibiao expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Health Commission, the Provincial Medical Association, and fellow anesthesiologists throughout the province for their support and concern in his speech, as well as to the 10th Committee of the Anesthesiology Branch for their work. He stated that the 11th committee will bear in mind its mission and responsibility, continue to strive and progress in various aspects such as clinical ability, scientific research level, and talent team construction in the field of anesthesia.
